Low Voltage Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and industrial sites We install new/ repair and maintain automated gates. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of critical communication, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our clients’ infrastructure. There will be times you may be asked to go do repairs such as adjusting ped gates, wheels etc. This position will be Monday - Thursday 7-3:30pm with occasional overtime . Friday is an on call day or make up day. PLEASE keep in mind this position is outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including access control.
• Prepare site for new installs- pour concrete pads for operators, trench site if needed for communication between operators.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately complete installations and repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and RF testers to identify issues within electrical or telecommunication systems.
• Repair or replace low voltage equipment while adhering to safety protocols related to AC/DC electrical systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system functionality and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician with a strong background
• Ability to use diagnostic tools including ohmmeters, power tools, hand tools, and testing devices efficiently and safely.
• Electrical experience related to AC/DC systems along with understanding of NEC electrical codes and safety standards.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
