Position Summary

The Low Voltage Electrician / Technician is responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage systems in data center and construction environments. This role requires extensive travel (up to 90%), strong controls experience, advanced cable termination skills, and the ability to maintain high workmanship standards in demanding job site conditions.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient, safety-focused, capable of leading small crews, and comfortable working independently in high-performance construction environments.

Essential DutiesResponsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following

InstallationTermination

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems.
• Perform high-quality I/O, Cat6, and fiber optic terminations, including splicing and testing.
• Install and wire control panels and control devices.
• Install conduit and pull cable.
• Maintain cable management and labeling standards.

Technical Execution

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and redline documentation.
• Diagnosing and troubleshoot wiring issues quickly under pressure.
• Support integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Project ExecutionField Leadership

• Manage scope in the field and identify potential change orders.
• Assist with material planning and staging.
• Maintain schedule awareness and ensure work aligns with construction sequencing.
• Lead small crews (2–6 technicians) when required.
