Journeyman Electrician

Duties

• Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and schematics to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs
• Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively
• Work on low voltage and high voltage systems with precision and safety compliance
• Perform maintenance, renovation, and upgrade work on existing electrical infrastructure on construction sites or facilities
• Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors during construction or renovation projects
• Follow all safety protocols related to electrical work, including proper handling of power tools and adherence to OSHA regulations

Skills

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician with knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems
• Strong background in commercial electrical work with a focus on NEC compliance and schematic reading
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting
