Journeyman Electrician (Residential, Multi-Family, Commercial)

We are currently seeking a Residential/Mlti-Family/Commercial Electrician (MIN 5-YEARS EXP REQ) to perform work on our various jobs in the Chicagoland area. Our service area: 25-50 miles in/around Chicago.

Our Customers: Condo/Apt Buildings, Townhomes, Single Family Homes, Multiple Unit Residences, Commercial Properties, Office Buildings/Retail Spaces, Billboards/Wallscapes/Outdoor Signs.

Many of our customers are repeat business and need some assistance from a professional/eager Service Electrician who can help with our current influx of steady work.

**** NOTE: This is a residential and multi-family service/construction position. This role does NOT involve factory automation, PLC programming, or industrial manufacturing machinery. Candidates with strictly manufacturing or industrial backgrounds will not be considered. ****

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
• Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems, circuits, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• All types of conduit-bending & wire-pulling
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes including City of Chicago Codes
• Must be versed on OSHA safety/climbing/electrical circuitry

• Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
• Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Must be able to work independently and able to follow directions
• Must have dependable truck / van [Able to haul ladders & misc. materials]
• Must be willing to travel to various projects during daytime hours M-F for service calls [Tri-County area / 25-50 miles radius surrounding Chicago, IL]
