Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, particularly in industrial and construction environments. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, the ability to work with various tools, and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools to build and install electrical components.
• Conduct tests using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
• Troubleshoot issues related to low voltage systems and logic controllers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar role within construction settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring methods, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using various electrical testing equipment including voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Familiarity with low voltage systems and logic controllers is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
