Industrial Electrician

The Journeyman Industrial Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of electrical systems and equipment at hydrogen fueling stations. This role supports the safe and reliable operation of hydrogen production, compression, storage, dispensing, and facility infrastructure systems while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards. This job is prevailing wage.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, equipment, and controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, pumps, compressors, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and hydrogen dispensing equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
• Inspect electrical installations for compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local regulations.
• Test electrical systems using meters, analyzers, and diagnostic equipment.
• Support commissioning and startup activities for hydrogen production and fueling equipment.
• Maintain emergency shutdown systems, safety interlocks, gas detection systems, and fire protection controls.
• Assist with upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports accurately.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient facility performance.
• Participate in on-call and emergency response activities as required.

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent electrical trade qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems up to 480V.
