• Ensure that all electrical systems are maintained in good working order in an effort to maximize the efficiency of mill equipment
• Installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical motors, scanners, drives, and PLC's on equipment used in the sawmill process
• Responding to requests from both the Production Supervisors and the Maintenance Supervisors
• Committing to and always promoting the use of safe practices
• Education Preferred: Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or an equivalent apprenticeship
• Including Military Occupation Courses, experience, or apprenticeships
• Years of Experience Required:
• 2-5 years of experience in maintenance in an industrial environment
• Strong troubleshooting abilities with electrical controls, power distribution (high and low voltage), programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drives is essential
• Ability to work a rotating shift
• Previous sawmill experience is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently or part of a team is a must
