Facilities Maintenance Technician / Electrician – Full-Time (Restaurant)

About Us

[Zhu] is a high-end restaurant specializing in xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and refined Chinese cuisine. We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician / Electrician to keep our kitchen and dining operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and gas systems throughout the restaurant
• Maintain and repair kitchen equipment, restroom fixtures (toilets, sinks), electrical outlets, circuit breakers/electrical panels, gas lines, steam equipment, and exhaust/ventilation fans
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly to minimize disruption to service
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and prevent potential issues before they cause downtime
• When no repairs are needed, assist with: driving/transporting staff, running errands and picking up supplies, organizing the storage/warehouse area, and performing warehouse repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with local codes

Qualifications

• Valid Electrician license/certification required
• Plumbing certification or equivalent hands-on experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for errands/transport duties)
• Prior experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or commercial kitchen setting preferred
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment, gas appliances, and exhaust systems a plus
• Bilingual (English/Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus, not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions (kneeling, climbing, confined spaces)
• Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings/weekends as needed

Pay: $6,000.00 per month
