Electrician

The Union Tool Corporation, an 82 year-old fourth-generation family owned business located in Warsaw, IN, is looking to add an Electrician / Panel Builder to our team.

Objective

Building & installation of electrical panels, wiring and components that go into Union Tool machinery. Position will work individually as well as in small groups (1-3 persons) under some direction from the plant manager or electrical engineering staff.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Read & analyze electrical prints & work order to plan electrical operations.

2. Build electrical panels according to prints & specifications.

3. Install electrical wiring and components according to prints & specifications.

4. Assist in machine debugging to ensure intended operation.

5. Assist in customer service calls & on new machine setup at customer location as requested.

6. Be willing and able to travel (including overnight travel) & work overtime as business needs require.

7. Other duties as required.

Qualifications

· Some experience in similar machine building environment or a combination of appropriate education and experience.

· Some knowledge of machinery, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical functions.

· Previous experience with building maintenance, a plus

· Must be able to read & understand electrical prints

· Possess a high attention to detail

· Must be able to communicate & interact in a team environment with all departments

· Must be able to represent Union Tool in a positive light with customers & vendors

· Must be willing to travel (less than 5%) for customer service calls, new machine setup. Overnight travel may be required.
