Journeyman Electrician

Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks.
• Perform high-voltage and low-voltage wiring for industrial machinery, commercial buildings, and construction projects using appropriate power tools and hand tools.
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently.
• Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components to support industrial operations.
• Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring work safely while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems during renovation or new build projects.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, schematics updates, and safety logs.
• Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
