This position is selected for the Hiring Incentive Program. The incentive shall be in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3000.00) upon completion of the probationary period.The hiring incentive will be paid (if funds are available) by the Department/Division which appoints the applicant.The hiring incentive is not available to current City employees.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot high/low voltage electrical circuits and equipment.
• Install street light poles, light fixtures, cameras, traffic signals and various other electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace various low/high voltage equipment, conduit and wiring.
• Perform overhead work in an aerial truck.
• Maintain the City’s street lighting, traffic signal, fiber and camera infrastructure.
• Participate in emergency on call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Data Utilization: Requires the ability to perform mid-level data analysis including the ability to audit, deduce, assess, conclude and appraise. Requires discretion in determining and referencing such to established criteria to define consequences and develop alternatives.
• Human Interaction: Requires the ability to provide assistance to others, such as co-workers, on how to apply policies, procedures and standards to specific situations.
• Equipment, Machinery, Tools and Materials Use: Requires the ability to operate, calibrate, tune and synchronize, and perform complex rapid adjustment on equipment, machinery and tools such as bucket truck, circuit tester/tracer, multimeter, electrician hand and power tools, common hand tools, compressor, pipe threader, welding equipment, trencher, cable p...
