The Electrician will install maintain and repair electrical equipment and control panels. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical motor controls as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. This position reports to Maintenance & Facilities Manager and support the operations group in the shop. Location: Whitesboro, NY Responsibilities:

• Installs, repairs and maintains electrical components on industrial equipment.
• Installs conduits and cables.
• Ensures installations comply with electrical codes.
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware.
• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces electrical components as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

:

• Completed formal training in basic electrical theory.
• Knowledge of 208V and 480V (Delta) 3 phase systems, motor control and schematic reading.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, electrical code/trade practices and low voltage controls.
• Basic PC skills.
