Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical components in various settings. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints, as well as a solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Electrician will work primarily on construction sites, ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely and efficiently.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize power tools and testing instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local building codes during all electrical installations.
• Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform frame carpentry related to electrical installations as necessary.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a commercial/residential setting.
• Familiarity with power tools and testing equipment used in electrical work.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuitry, and the NEC.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
• Experience working on construction sites is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
