Electrician / Maintenance Technician (Day Shift)

JOB SUMMARY

The Electrician / Maintenance Technician will assist production and maintenance with achieving NOV's daily KPI goals by troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, as well as provide training for production supervisors, operators and maintenance personnel on an ongoing basis. This role will also assist with operational activities that support the manufacturing process, by providing skilled mechanical and electrical / electronic support to all areas of manufacturing, while maintaining all NOV Quality and Safety measures.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Knowledge of electrical & mechanical controls
• Calibrate various equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical & mechanical problems and/or equipment
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Repair electrical equipment safely and as quickly as possible after a breakdown
• Work on assigned projects
• Install new equipment
• Utilize safe work habits
• Wear appropriate PPE
• Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
• Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
• Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to read pressure gauges
• Ability to work overtime and shift work as required
• Ability to read labels on pipe along with specs on paper
• Standing up to 12 hours daily
• Walking up to 12 hours daily
• Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
• Repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily
• Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
• Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Good vision required for safe operation of forklift
• Utilize recommended safe work habits and make use of all safety equipment provided
• Assist with OJT (On Job Training) employees as needed
• Work inside and outside
• Assist where and when as required
