Job Description

Basic Purpose

: Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the layout, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures and related equipment in a facility.

Compensation: $70,000.00

Benefits

: This is a full-time state position that provides a percentage of matching contributions to employees’ retirement plans, 11 holidays, and a minimum of 15 days of annual and sick leave per year. The state also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.

Essential Functions

· Maintains and repairs electrical systems, fixtures and components and all other related devices in existing facilities; makes inspections and diagnoses electrical troubles; assigns and oversees work details when required.

· Install, repair, alter and maintain electrical systems and equipment throughout the installation. Must comply with the current edition of the National Electric Code.

· Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain streetlights, exterior lighting circuits, pedestal lights, aircraft ramp lighting and remote area lighting systems.

· Maintains and repairs light fixtures, receptacles and switches; replaces light bulbs; maintains distribution panels; oils and cleans motors; troubleshoots and makes electrical repairs; maintains and makes minor repairs to various types of heating, refrigerati...
