Electrician

The Electrician position is responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs of instrumentation, automation, electrical and related systems. This position reports to the Electrical Foreman. This position resides at the St. Rose Terminal, but is also responsible for duties at the Avondale terminal.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance and repairs
• New electrical construction
• Perform work orders
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, automation and electrical issues

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to learn and adapt in a growing and changing environment
• Working knowledge of both high and low voltage systems as well as basic knowledge of instrumentation and automation
• Terminal maintenance experience
• Instrumentation and automation skills
• Knowledge of pump motors, VFD’s, actuators and radars, transformers and control valve
• Ability to read and program logic in PLC’s
• Valid Driver’s License
• TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials) for access to IMTT’s terminal locations.

• Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
