Electrician I (Clay Center, NE)

The U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) is a 34,000-acre facility located near Clay Center, NE. The work performed at USMARC supports research that is focused on solving high priority problems for the U.S. beef cattle, sheep, and swine industries.

As an Electrician I, you will

* Assist with the installation, alteration, addition, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of electrical systems, lighting controls, access control systems, building security systems, fire alarm systems, and building automation control systems. * Learn to interpret and use schematics and blueprint drawings to complete the installation and troubleshooting of electrical conduit systems, wiring, and device termination, and ensure compliance with regulations. * Urgent situations occasionally require after-hours work.

Electricians are assigned to a rotating, on-call schedule.

This position requires registration as a Nebraska Apprentice Electrician upon hire. There is no exam to obtain an apprentice card.
