Duties

• Assist licensed electricians with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
• Prepare work areas by setting up tools, materials, and safety equipment in accordance with electrical safety procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams such as NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system functionality.
• Must own hand tools, and be able to use safely.
• Support the installation of electrical components on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and codes.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to blueprint reading and schematic interpretation guidelines.

Requirements

• Prior experience working as an electrician helper or in a related construction or industrial environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and blueprint reading is essential.
