Electrician

THIS IS A FULL TIME PERMANENT PAID POSITION - FOR ALL SHIFTS JOB OVERVIEW:* Participate in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repairs of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls of varying design or complexity. Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools and machinery as assigned to the maintenance team by the plant manager or other supervisor as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES:* Participate in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls and devices * Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned * Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools * Must be able to interpret blueprints and follow manufacturers’ specifications * Troubleshoot manufacturing machines * Follow written and verbal instructions * Work with AC and DC Circuits 120 thru 480 AC voltage and 240 DC voltage * Assist in the establishment of preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and facilities. * Extensive knowledge of Lock Out safety policies and procedures * Overtime is an essential function of this position * Perform other related duties incidental to the work

WORK CONDITIONS

* Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and in all types of weather conditions * Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel * Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels * Proper personal protective equipment is always required, such as, Metatarsal shoes/boots, ear plugs/earmuffs, safety glasses and hard hats * This is a safety-sensitive position.
