Commercial Construction Electrical Foreman

Max Power Systems is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level or helper position. We are looking for someone who has successfully managed commercial electrical construction projects from start to finish and can work with minimal supervision.

Our work includes restaurants, retail, office buildings, warehouses, tenant improvements, and ground-up commercial construction throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland.

If you need constant direction or have only residential experience, this position is not a good fit.

Responsibilities

As the Foreman, you will be responsible for running commercial construction projects independently, including:

  • Managing projects from rough-in through final inspection
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and blueprints
  • Planning daily work activities and coordinating with the General Contractor
  • Leading and supervising electricians and apprentices
  • Installing EMT, Rigid, PVC, MC Cable, cable tray, and electrical equipment
  • Installing panels, transformers, switchgear, lighting, receptacles, controls, and branch circuits
  • Performing layout and planning before installation begins
  • Coordinating inspections and correcting punch list items
  • Ordering and tracking materials
  • Maintaining production schedules while delivering quality workmanship
  • Ensuring all work complies with NEC and local codes
  • Working safely and enforcing company safety standards

Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has

  • 7+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
  • At least 3 years as a Foreman or Lead Electrician
  • Experience running projects without constant supervision
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • Experience with commercial construction layouts
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
