Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Electrician to join our team and ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across various projects. In this role, you will work on diverse construction sites, renovation projects, and industrial environments, applying your expertise in electrical diagnostics, wiring, and blueprint reading. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us uphold the highest standards of electrical safety and performance, contributing to the success of our projects and the safety of our team.

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and construction settings using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts.
• Perform high-voltage and low-voltage electrical wiring according to local electrical codes (such as NEC) and NFPA 70 compliance standards.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters to identify faults or system inefficiencies.
• Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components to support industrial processes.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical safety procedures, including NFPA 70 standards for safe handling of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to complete renovation or construction projects on time and within scope.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades for future reference.
• Adhere to all safety protocols related to high-voltage systems, construction site safety procedures, and handyman tasks when applicable.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks such as working with schematics, control wiring, and automation systems involving PLCs.
• Construction site experience demonstrating ability to work efficiently in dynamic environments while maintaining safety standards.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes (such as NEC), NFPA 70 compliance requirements, and blueprint reading skills.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Experience with high-voltage wiring projects along with low-voltage system installations.
• Knowledge of renovation projects involving framing carpentry or general handyman skills is a plus.
