Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes such as the NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation and maintenance of electrical systems
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks on construction sites or renovation projects
• Test electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters to diagnose issues related to low voltage and high voltage systems
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely completion of electrical components within project timelines
• Follow all safety protocols related to low voltage, high voltage, and general electrical work to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of NEC standards
• Hands-on experience reading schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment
• Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems; experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
