Electrical Apprentice

We are looking for a certified electrician trainee or apprentice. Who is ready is ready to learn under a Master Electrician, and grow along with the company. VEC Electric has both commercial and residential contracts. Tasks will include rewiring houses, installing conduits, switches, junction boxes, panels, breakers, and performing a careful inspection on completed work. Manual labor, such as digging ditches, will be a requirement for some jobs. Team members are to be able to operate hand and power tools, safely; As well as Job site clean-up.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior electrical experience (2+ years)
• Construction knowledge.
• Willingness to travel

Possess a clean and valid driver's license

Gather appropriate material for daily tasks

Must be able to work independently and with a team

Install conduit using a hand, mechanical or hydraulic bender

Wire pulling in new or existing conduit runs

Mount panel boards, transformers, switch gear, transfer switches & other various types of equipment

Competent in installation of electrical equipment and fixtures

Solid understanding of electrical codes and installation methods

Ability to read blueprints, manuals, drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics

Strong verbal and written skills

Professional appearance and good customer service skills

Effective troubleshooting skills

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
