Construction Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in high and low voltage systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and hands-on experience with various hand tools. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and renovating electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) during all installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete renovation projects effectively.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or inefficiencies.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably with a focus on commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
• Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus for renovation tasks.
• Proficient in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Valid electrician's license or certification may be required based on local regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
