Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, Fire, Security, Access Control, and more
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installations and repairs.
• Perform system testing, programming, and final inspections as needed
• Ensure installations meet company standards and applicable codes
• Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and testing devices to diagnose issues with cabling, electrical components, and network hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation or service issues as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system performance issues and project timelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or field technician specializing in low voltage systems within commercial environments.
• Knowledge of security, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems
• Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes such as NEC standards for low voltage wiring.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, multimeters (ohmmeters), and testing equipment safely and effectively.
