Commercial Electrician

15 lightyears is seeking a full-time commercial Electrician to join our growing team! In this role, you will perform electrical installation and maintenance on job sites. You’ll read blueprints, install switchgear, distribution panels, transformers, and other electrical equipment, and handle a variety of electrical tasks to support general construction and solar projects.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm. Potential for overtime is available.

Responsibilities Include

• Perform electrical repair and installation from basic to mid-level tasks.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical wiring and components for solar arrays/systems (AC and DC) and commercial buildings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures for hazards, defects, or compliance issues.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, motors, and other components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications to plan layout and installation.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections of products, processes, and completed work.
• Install ground leads, pull wiring through conduit, and secure electrical boxes, switches, and outlets.
