Commercial Building Electrical Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Building Electrical Technician to support the operation and maintenance of commercial office buildings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing building electrical systems and be comfortable working independently in an occupied commercial property environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial building electrical systems
• Maintain and repair lighting systems, switches, receptacles, breakers, panels, and electrical equipment
• Diagnose electrical issues and perform corrective repairs
• Respond to tenant electrical service requests and work orders
• Assist with tenant improvement (TI) and renovation projects
• Coordinate with outside electrical contractors when necessary
• Perform preventive maintenance on building electrical systems
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable codes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred
• Experience working in office buildings, high-rise buildings, or commercial properties
• Strong knowledge of electrical panels, breakers, lighting controls, and power distribution systems Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

* California Electrician Certification Experience with commercial building operations Knowledge of HVAC electrical controls and building automation systems (BAS)

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
