About the Role

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the safe identification, troubleshooting, and completion of underground related electrical maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform all electrical repairs as required in underground equipment, as well as stationary fixed equipment.
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in the underground mine
• Perform electrical maintenance duties on underground equipment and perform requirements to ensure that permissible equipment is maintained in permissible condition.
• Maintenance testing of low to high voltage (13.8kV) electrical equipment in the underground including transformers, switchgear, protective relays, circuit breakers, cables, and motors
• Fabrication and installation of various low voltage electrical equipment (distribution boards, lighting, etc.) throughout the underground mine.
• Repair and maintenance of instrumentation throughout the mine.
• May be required to operate certain mine equipment to diagnose problems, position it for repairs to be made, test operation after making repairs.
