Responsibilities

Solect is currently seeking a full time Apprentice Electrician physically located in our headquarters in Hopkinton, MA. This role is an integral member of the service and maintenance team, which is responsible for maintaining and inspecting commercial/industrial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The candidate must demonstrate strong customer communication skills, be self-driven and independent with a passion for the solar industry. Must be able to manage a large number volume of projects while demonstrating excellent quality work. • Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems through activities such as constructing controllers and panels, using power drills, saws, and punches, as well as measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Assist with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, inverters, panels and circuits. Tracing out short circuits in wiring, using a test meter. Working consistently in a safe and effective manner.
