Position Summary

The job of Specialized Maintenance Tier 3 – Electrician is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for providing specialized maintenance services; ensuring completion of assigned work order projects; performing a wide variety of general maintenance activities and assisting other maintenance workers; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site.

• This job reports to the Director of Buildings and Grounds and Classified Supervisor, Maintenance
• This position is a Full Time (260 day, 8 hours per day agreement), Benefits Eligible position.
• Compensation will be commensurate with Full-Time, parallel years of experience.
• The compensation range for this position is $55,096 - $80,056

Essential Functions

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing devices, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Install and maintain lighting systems, breakers, panels, conduit, switches, and motors.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements as well as local and state regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical distribution systems and backup power equipment.
• Respond to electrical outages and emergency repair situations.
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner.
• Coordinates with outside contractors and/or other trades for the purpose of ensuring the completion of projects and work orders in a timely manner and according to specifications.
