Job Summary

Battelle is seeking a skilled Senior Electrician to service, maintain, repair, test, adjust, install, operate electrical systems and equipment at the journeyman level. In this role, you will support critical infrastructure including electrical distribution systems, control systems, UPS and emergency power systems, laboratory systems, and alarm systems. You will work independently or under general supervision while helping ensure safe, reliable operations in a complex laboratory and facilities environment, including work involving up to medium-voltage circuits.

• Lead and perform installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of critical electrical distribution and control systems.
• Plan, inspect, document, and support installation and maintenance activities for assigned site-critical systems.
• Establish and support testing programs, monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruption to operations.
• Help ensure systems and documentation comply with applicable safety standards, UL requirements, and state, local, client, and government regulations.
• Maintain system files, drawings, schematics, alarm and control diagrams, and inspection or performance reports.
• Coordinate with engineering, HVAC, security operations, facilities staff, and contractors to complete installation and maintenance work efficiently and safely.
