Solar Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This is a hybrid position focused on both solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage system (ESS) installations as well as residential electrical work, including new construction, remodels, service upgrades, and home renovations. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems while helping homeowners transition to clean energy solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys a variety of work and wants to build expertise in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the electrical industry.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
• Install, wire, commission, and troubleshoot solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems (ESS), inverters, rapid shutdown devices, and associated equipment.
• Perform residential electrical work including service upgrades, main panel replacements, subpanel installations, home wiring, remodels, new construction, EV charger installations, and general electrical service work.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installations.
• Diagnose electrical issues using multimeters, clamp meters, megohmmeters, and other testing equipment to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
• Install conduit, raceways, conductors, grounding systems, disconnects, breakers, and electrical equipment for both solar and residential electrical projects.
• Perform maintenance and service calls on existing solar, battery backup, and residential electrical systems.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
