Service Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including high-voltage wiring, low-voltage controls, and industrial equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify issues efficiently.
• Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes for safety and compliance.
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations and repairs with precision.
• Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to protect yourself and team members during all phases of work.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and parts used for future reference and compliance audits.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial, commercial and residental electrician with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes to ensure code-compliant work.
• Experience working with high-voltage (HV) electrical wiring as well as low-voltage systems in various environments.
• Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately for precise installation or repair work.
• Construction site experience including renovation projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures combined with hands-on experience in adhering to safety protocols.
• Additional handyman skills such as frame carpentry or general construction experience are a plus.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; ongoing professional development preferred.
