This position involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical systems in commercial, retail, and industrial environments. Key Responsibilities

• Plan layouts and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to job specifications and local electrical codes
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, including wiring, circuits, panels, and controls
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding service details, project scope, and costs
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Collaborate effectively with fellow electricians and apprentices as needed
• Support service calls across commercial, retail, and industrial facilities

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Electrician License (Willingness to obtain additional New England state licenses based on geographic work requirements)
• Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience, with a strong background in service work
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and regulations
• In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems
• Experience with pipe bending and threading
• Mechanical and refrigeration wiring/troubleshooting experience is a plus
