Role Overview

Position: Low Voltage Security Technician

Location: Atlanta or sorrounding area

Employment Type: Hourly, full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission electronic security systems: CCTV, access control, intrusion and alarm systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to keep systems operating to spec.
• Diagnose and repair system faults; replace defective components and update firmware/configuration.
• Read and follow technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and installation standards.
• Provide client-facing support including basic system training and clear, professional communication.
• Document work thoroughly: service reports, checklists, and job closeouts.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures on every job site.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum: Proven hands-on experience in electronic security installation and service.
• Technical knowledge: Access control, CCTV/IP cameras, alarm systems, and basic networking.
• Certifications: OSHA 30 and Aerial Lift Training required; ESA, NICET, or manufacturer certs preferred.
• Tools & skills: Comfortable with multimeters, cable testers, power tools, terminations, and testing.
• Other: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with IP networking and structured cabling.
• Prior work on combined Access Control, Burglar/Fire Alarm, and IP Security Camera systems.
• Ability to lead small crews or train junior technicians.
