Residential Journeyman Electrician – Old Home Rewiring Specialist

Shadow Electric is looking for an experienced Residential Journeyman Electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship and can confidently rewire older homes throughout San Francisco to meet today's electrical codes and safety standards.

This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who can work independently, solve problems in the field, and take ownership of their work without needing constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete full and partial rewires in older San Francisco homes.
• Is competant to do service upgrades ,sub panel replacements and EV chargers
• Upgrade electrical systems to current California and NEC code requirements.
• Troubleshoot existing wiring and identify safe, code-compliant solutions.
• Install service upgrades, subpanels, grounding systems, AFCI/GFCI protection, and new circuits.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners and team members.
• Plan work efficiently and keep projects moving forward.Qualifications
• Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years of residential experience.
• Extensive experience rewiring older homes.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and California Electrical Code.
• Able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and takes initiative.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Clean, professional appearance and attitude.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Own hand tools and cordless power tools.
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and ladders.What We're Looking For
