Job Summary

Responsible for the planning and organizing of work of electrical journeymen in an assigned trade, the development of material and labor estimates for proposed work, as well as the budget, inventories, procedures and policies. Work is primarily evaluated for effective use of resources, accomplishment of assigned projects, and adherence to trade standards.Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the work performed by journeymen. Provide leadership and guidance in the efficient completion of assigned projects and PMs. Provide leadership in maintaining, installing, and checking existing and/or new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations in coordination with facility plant operations managers.
• Responsible for ensuring proper staffing and monitoring the quality, promptness, and actions taken by journeymen. Responsible for generating a balanced and equitable work schedule.
• Prepare and submit work documentation, including work order submission, changes to the system, and takeoffs for construction projects Supervise documentation prepared by assigned personnel.
• Update and maintain electrical and special systems information and schematic drawings.
• Responsible for reviewing existing electrical systems to determine the need for upgrading system(s) for energy efficiency and operation.
• Install and maintain electrical systems including related equipment such as HVAC, boilers, controls, valves, VDs, elevators, etc.
• Supervise for accuracy and efficient performance of all preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems/equipment.
