Maintenance Electrician/Technician

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical maintenance, with experience in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, and industrial mechanics. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety within the facility.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Must have a technical capacity, ethical conduct, communicate proficiently, and show initiative and be result driven.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
• Basic Computers skills
• Electrician Skills and PLC Programming
• Ability to read and interpret Work Orders, manuals, and blueprints
• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Advanced knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Experience in fabrication including machining and welding
• Knowledge of Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures
• Proper and safe setup and maintenance of machines
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Operate scissor lifts and other equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to facilitate repairs and installations.
