Industrial Electrician (PLC Programming & Automation)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician with strong programming capabilities to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and automated equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems up to 480V and proficiency in PLC programming to support our automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment, including motors, drives, controls, lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, and industrial automation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and automated machinery to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to implement process improvements and new automation projects.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including NFPA 70E, OSHA, and company policies.
• Document work performed, maintain accurate records, and assist in developing electrical drawings and control system documentation.
• Support the integration of new equipment and machinery.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical experience (minimum 4–7 years in an industrial/manufacturing setting).
