Low Voltage Technician/Installer

A Low Voltage Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to security systems, fire alarms, data networks, and audio/video equipment. This role requires technical expertise in low voltage systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation: Install and configure low voltage systems such as security cameras, access control systems, intercoms, data networks, and audio/video equipment.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades of low voltage systems to ensure they operate efficiently and meet industry standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues in low voltage systems, including identifying and resolving wiring problems, connectivity issues, and equipment malfunctions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including documenting equipment specifications and wiring diagrams.
• Compliance: Ensure that all installations and repairs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to understand their low voltage system requirements, provide recommendations, and address any concerns or questions.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other technicians, electricians, and contractors as needed to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Testing and Certification: Conduct testing and quality checks on low voltage systems to ensure they meet performance standards and are fully functional.
• Training: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
