Position Overview

Origin Electric is seeking a skilled Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and solving challenging electrical problems in industrial and commercial environments.

Our work includes service calls, preventive maintenance, equipment installations, controls, VFDs, motors, lighting systems, and electrical upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems
• Install, maintain, and service electrical equipment and components
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Install conduit, wire, panels, disconnects, transformers, and controls
• Diagnose motor controls, VFDs, and three-phase power systems
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
• Participate in occasional overtime and emergency service calls

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky or reciprocating Standard Electrician License
• Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with 120V–480V electrical systems
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
