A Licensed Commercial Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems in commercial buildings such as offices, schools, hospitals, retail centers, manufacturing facilities, and industrial sites. This role requires knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, wiring systems, and safety procedures to ensure electrical systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

* Install electrical systems, wiring, conduit, panels, lighting, and equipment in commercial buildings * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings * Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues and equipment malfunctions * Install and maintain breakers, transformers, switches, outlets, and control systems * Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems * Ensure all work complies with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards * Test electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment * Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on construction projects * Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies * Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used

Work Environment

* Commercial construction sites * Existing commercial facilities * Indoor and outdoor work environments * May require overtime, weekends, or on-call work depending on project demands
