The person hired for the position of Journeymen Electrician will work at our Cordova, IL plant.

Summary

An Electrician is responsible for safely performing various duties such as testing, installing, replacing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. This includes planning layouts, inspecting systems for hazards, reading work orders, documenting maintenance activities, and assisting in training apprentices while monitoring the activities of other workers, including contractors.

Safely performing Electrician duties, including but not limited to

• Test, install, replace, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
