Journeyman Electrician (Non-Traveling)

Key Responsibilities

* Interpret and work from electrical blueprints, diagrams, and construction plans * Install, maintain, and repair wiring, outlets, receptacles, lighting fixtures, switches, panels and circuit breakers * Inspect systems to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with NEC and local codes * Troubleshoot using meters and test instruments, diagnose issues and determine repairs * Provide cost estimates and discuss options with homeowners * Pull wire, install conduit, and work in attics, crawl spaces, or ceilings * Accurately document work performed, and communicate status updates to Service Department and Operations Manager Support or collaborate with HVAC and Plumbing companies as needed *

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must hold a valid MABCD (Sedgwick County) Electrician Certificate (Journeyman or Master)
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in residential electrical work
• Ability to supervise and mentor electrical apprentices on job sites, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance and skill development
• Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical safety practices and relevant local codes
• Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics and technical drawings
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
