Job Summary

Independent Energy Hawaii is hiring a Journeyman (EJ-level) Electrician to run jobs, mentor our next generation of apprentices, and help lead our electrical team across Oahu.

You'll bring 3–5+ years of hands-on residential or commercial electrical experience — a Hawaii EJ license is a strong plus, and if you're close but not yet licensed, we'll help you finish the road. This is a senior role on a positive, AI-enabled crew that's proud to be Hawaii's home-grown EJ factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Run scheduled jobs and manage crews from start to finish, including service calls and inventory
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to NEC standard
• Execute terminations, AC tie-ins, and power swing-overs; commission Enphase and Tesla systems
• Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards and confirm code compliance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools, techniques, and test instruments
• Train and mentor apprentices and lower-level electricians; sign off on documented wiring hours
