Journeyman Electrician

Overview

Herzog Railroad Services Inc. is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician in St. Joseph, MO at our state-of-the-art Rail Car Facility. Duties and Responsibilities:* Installing and repairing electrical systems associated with, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic components as needed. * Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. * Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. * Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. * Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent. * Must have at least 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical. * Experience with some low voltage and control wiring preferred, some training can be provided. * Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems. * Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our client. * Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment. * Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation. * Able to travel and work some weekends when required. * High standard of integrity and professionalism. * Valid driver’s license.

Pre-Employment Requirements

* Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. * Maintain valid driver’s license and endorsements as required per position. * Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position. * Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
