Since our founding in 1978, Hayward Electric Co. has provided customers with electrical construction services in the petrochemical, pipeline, food processing, manufacturing, and high-tech industries.

Job Summary

The journeyman electrician performs the construction and installation of electrical systems at a variety of industrial and commercial locations.

Job Responsibilities

• Installation of raceway systems (Rigid, EMT, cable tray, wireway, etc.)
• Pulling of wires and cables.
• Sorting, labeling, and termination of wires.
• Read and understand construction drawings.
• Assign tasks to and mentoring trainees.
• Assist in the lifting and moving of large electrical equipment.
• Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and/or high reach lifts.
• Work in a variety of environments, indoor and outdoor, in varying weather conditions.
• Travel to jobsites around the greater Bay Area.
• Adhere to all Hayward Electric Co. and customer safety policies.
• Participate in pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CA General Electrician Certification
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, such as Switchgear, PLCs, lighting, etc.
• Ability to understand drawings (oneline diagrams, elementary diagrams, etc.)
• Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• 5 years construction experience in an industrial facility.

Pay: $58.00 - $64.00 per hour
