Journeyman Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and renovating electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. A commitment to safety and adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
• Conduct tests using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
• Work with low voltage systems as required.
• Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency or meet updated codes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards during all work performed.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• Valid electrician's license. RI Required and MA Preferred
• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
