Journeyman Electrician

Position Summary

Join our dynamic team at Embers Protection Services as a Journeyman Electrician and take on a lead role in construction projects that demand team leadership, precision, expertise, as well as hands-on skills. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team through installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment in commercial, industrial, and residential environments. Your expertise will help ensure that building systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with blueprints and schematics and that jobs are completed on time and within proper guidelines. This position requires the ability to work independently or in team settings while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity. The Journeyman Electrician may assist in directing and training apprentices and helpers on assigned projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a team though installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, wiring, equipment, fixtures, and controls
• Train and mentor apprentice electricians and helpers
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, specifications, and construction documents
• Install conduit, raceways, cable trays, wiring systems, panels, switchgear, lighting, and electrical devices while ensuring all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Perform electrical testing, diagnostics, and system commissioning
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Coordinate work activities with project managers, foremen, inspectors, general contractors, and other trades
