Journeyman Electrician Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial and residential electrical construction and service work, takes pride in quality workmanship, follows safety procedures, and can work independently or as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
• Install conduit (EMT, PVC, Rigid, and Flex) and pull conductors.
• Install panels, transformers, disconnects, lighting, receptacles, and electrical equipment.
• Perform electrical service upgrades and remodel work.
• Diagnose electrical issues and make necessary repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate meters and testing equipment.
• Complete work orders, daily reports, and required documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate professionally with customers, inspectors, contractors, and team members.
• Mentor apprentices and help develop their skills.
• Operate company vehicles, lifts, ladders, and other equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Current Journeyman Electrician License (Texas preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently.
• Experience with commercial, residential, and service work preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if required).
